Restaurant – 68 Guy Martin

The Restaurant “The 68″ arose from the meeting of two talented men: the Michelin Star rewarded Chef Guy Martin and the perfumer of the House Guerlain Thierry Vasseur. Between the Swiss “nose” and the Savoyard Chef, the complicity very fast settled down.

The perfume is a similar universe to cook through the searches for authentic products. Both enthusiasts who share the same excellent values speak vanilla, rose, jasmine, bergamot orange the stars of the House Guerlain.

Guy Martin becomes soaked to essences to develop a menu with meals associated to the fragrances of perfumes: foiegras and Madagascar’s vanilla in puff pastry, cod like a little black dress and liquorice , macaroon of the gardens of Shalimar ” so many winks of eye.

However, attention, “In 68, we do not eat Shalimar, warns the Chef. I simply interpreted essences of Guerlain through an uninhibited cooking “.

Breakfast is also servedevery day from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, and brunch on Sunday from noon to 3:00 pm.

Visitors enter on the ground floor in a large hall, which opens to the bookstore and to the restaurant “Franck”, managed by the Michelin Star rewarded Chef, Jean-Louis Nomicos.
A nice versatile 350-seat auditorium, overlooks the pond stairs will host concerts of classical music or electronic.

The rest of the Foundation is dedicated to 3.800 m² of museum spaces. Escalators, some dedicated to temporary exhibitions, other permanent collections, connect the eleven galleries of different sizes, in ground pool and the floors. Rooftop several successive levels of planted terraces, partially made with glass mats and tangles of metal beams and wood. Marcel Duchamp was a jack-of-all-trades, a visionary who has ventured into the regions of art and literature with humour. The exhibition will observe all that he has ever experienced, his influences, his reference books, esthetic loans.

From literature to art through the optical sciences, physical or mechanical, “Marcel Duchamp, la mêmepeinture” is an opportunity to explore the visual world of the artist.
