RESTAURANT « La Haute Cloche »

Restaurant The gold Triangle is one of the most tourist area in Paris (might be of the world). The question that Guests ask the most to our concierges’ team is if there is still a nontourist bistro in our area.
The Concierges reveal you here one of their preference with this small rustic bistro. “La Haute Cloche” restaurant will not only delight your papillae but moreover, this little place of good things is within walking distance of InterContinental Marceau Hotel. In the shade of all Gastronomique restaurants on the gold triangle, this discrete place will enable you to enjoy quality dishes, in a comfortable atmosphere, almost as at home.
Decoration, Menu, Wine list, are nothing fancy but simply very good and authentic.
The Menu changes every day since it is freshly prepared here, starting from seasonal products.
A wine Selection carefully studied to marry judiciously with the dishes of the Menu.

“La Haute Cloche” is the perfect small ‘Bistro de quartier’, ideal to go to lunch or to diner in a relaxed way… A good approach to escape a little from the rhythm of the gold triangle’s glamour life.

EXHIBITION « Araki » At Museum Guimet

Exhibition Araki Nobuyoshi is not only the essential figure of Japanese contemporary photography but he is also the contemporary Japanese artist the most productive. This exhibition which is the most important devoted to Araki in France, recalls fifty years of its work (from 1965 to 2016) on 400 photographs.
Real intimate diary of the Master for which “to photograph is first of all a way of existing”, the exhibition will be spread according to a course set of themes, since the series devoted to the flowers, the scene of Tokyo, or the sentimental Travel, illustration of his honeymoon in 1971, followed by the Travel in winter in 1990, year of his wife’s death. Impressed of poetry, the work of Araki also bases on a ceaseless experimentation.
Therefore, the codes and stereotypes of the “medium” are revisited by the artist who intervenes on his clean negative or recovers sometimes his images of penmanship or painting, in a daring gesture, often tinted of humour.

The Araki exhibition will give to see and understand the rooting of the art of Araki in the Japanese traditional culture.

Set up as the narrow street of Chinatown, bubbled and colored at night, we can see at the back of this restaurant, the agitation of the open-plan kitchens, with the Chef under suspended woks and bright neon. Chinoiseries brought out of the imagination of the designer Philippe Stark, live in this studied mess, as huge Chinese lanterns or the forest of parasols over tables.

At Miss Ko, the European tastes get involved in the tradition of the Asian countries.

Discover revisited great classics and exceptional creations. Enjoy in major creations of Miss Ko: the famous home-made gyozas (Japanese raviolis) with foie gras, the delicious salmon spring rollers with gravelax sauce, the sashizza or the collections of mini rolls and sushis.

Restaurant Clown Bar

Clown BarIt was a historic bistro whose red nose décor and purring cuisine tickled tourists pink. A beautiful specimen from the early 20th century, with a timeworn bar, a painted glass ceiling and ceramic Sarreguemine clowns in the style of Winsor McCay, since Clown Bar used to be the local watering hole for the Cirque d’Hiver. When the affaire recently hit the market, the team for Saturne restaurant took possession of it, in order to create, after a facelift, one of the most sizzling café-bistros in Paris. In the kitchen, SotaAtsumi (Vivant Table) is absorbed in his staggering acrobatics, and depending on his mood and the weather, you can taste it all in the dining room, at the bar or on the terrace:

We are ready to stand the noise and the relative discomfort to come here to test fineand fresh cuisine. In conclusion, do not miss lemon pie and sesame: it is just amazing!

114 rue Amelot, Paris 11
Open from Wednesday to Sunday, lunch and diner
